My words about Uncle Paul will no doubt be very similar to everyone else who knew him or even met him briefly; he was one of the ‘good guys’, welcoming, friendly, funny and supportive.   Marrying into a family is always going to be nerve-wracking, but Paul, went out of his way to make me feel at ease, extremely welcome and part of his extended family.

His passion for all things family, food and entertaining were evident whether it was the time he took to spend time with / enquire after his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews or the sparkle in his eye when educating the newcomers (like me) about ‘proper’ traditional Chinese and Asian food.

He stood out at our wedding as someone who took great delight in talking to everyone, taking every opportunity to meet new people and enjoy the day for what it was meant to be, a day of joy, family, friendship and, of course, good traditional food.

Paul was a complete pleasure to be around and spend time with and he will be sorely missed by all of us that had the privilege to know him.
